For the second year in a row, top audio professionals convened at The Village Recording Studios in West Los Angeles on May 19 and 20 to share their tips and tricks for making great home studio recordings, and to discuss the essentials for building a successful career in audio engineering and producing.

The annual From Home to Studio conference was established by engineer and consultant Dave Hampton, who for more than 25 years has contributed to the success of such artists as Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Prince and Rafael Saadiq. Hampton’s book—So, You’re an Audio Engineer…Well, Here’s the Other Stuff You Need to Know—is used in Full Sail’s Recording Arts program.

Conference participants included Grammy Award-winning engineers Ralph Sutton (Stevie Wonder); Khaliq Glover (Prince, Justin Timberlake); producer/arranger/programmer Darrell Diaz (Herbie Hancock, Arturia); Leslie Ann Jones (Skywalker Sound); Al Ramirez; Conley Abrams III; Clarence McDonald; Eric Zobler (George Duke); Morris Hayes; Randy Emata; Tina Morris; and Kelli Clark (20th Century Fox). A highlight of the weekend was a panel discussion moderated by comedian/actor/studio owner Sinbad.

Sponsors included the Recording Academy’s Producers & Engineers Wing, GC Pro, HP, Monster Cable, MATK Corporation, Blue Sky International, Glyph Technologies, Rackmount City and Avastor.

22 05 2007

Calling all bands and guitarists..!
We would like to share with all of you a very cool, affordable and unique way to advertise.
The Guitar Wall, the official pixel property for guitar players and products…
Check it out www.TheGuitarWall.com

My friend  Jeffrey D Brown is a very imaginative fellow who immerses himself in technology is pleased to announce the “Grand Opening” of The Guitar Wall.

 www.TheGuitarWall.com

DanSindel_SymphonicGuitars  hey I got mine up on “the Guitar Wall”..!       😀

Simply put, The Guitar Wall is a unique iconic advertising, linking and promotion vehicle that allows viewers to find all kinds of useful graphic links to people and websites of interest in a very novel format. For advertisers, it’s an inexpensive, but effective way to create additional, credible back links to their business or personal site.

The cost to participate is minimal considering the exposure and time frame (one year) as well as the novelty factor. Visitors come back often to watch the wall grow and can’t help but click on images out of pure curiosity much of the time.

The Guitar Wall is supported by the GW Blog (accessible on the Wall) and the GW Forum will be launching in a couple of days. Merchandise is sure to follow.

The Guitar Wall was developed by producer/publisher Jeffrey D Brown (also a producer of GuitarXPO coming in September to the Long Beach Convention Center) who’s Web portfolio includes several other guitar-related sites (www.JeffreyDBrown.com)

Show Notes:
Welcome to “Symphonic Guitars” podcast#8 – The Feed Burner Edition.
Today I pulled a few classics from the archives and today’s featured tracks are none other than Pachelbel’s most famous “Canon in D Major” and the beloved traditional Irish Melody “Danny Boy”!

For those of you not familiar with my “Symphonic Guitars” concept, what I like to do is transpose and transcribe Orchestral Scores to fit the guitars tonal range, Layering guitar tracks creating a massive electric guitar “Wall of Sound”. It’s a lot of work but a lot of fun..!

First up is Johann Pachelbel’s “Canon in D Major”!
Pachelbel was a German Baroque composer and I have interpreted the string quartet instrumentation with more than 50 multi-track overdubs utilizing Acoustic and electric guitars…

Closing today’s show is the traditional Irish Melody “Danny Boy”! AKA
Londonderry Air. In the second and third sections you will be hearing a culmination of at least 90 tracks of guitar..! Both tracks feature my 68’ Gibson SG and the Line6 Flextone3 amp

As of this writing it has been a busy month, I humbly thank all the good folks at FeedBurner for making this special podcast edition happen and I am proud to give a VERY SPECIAL Thank You to Visual Sound, GHS/Rocktron and Peterson Tuners with their generous product endorsements and for believing in me as an artist!!

As always, Thank you for listening and be sure to visit http://www.dansindel.us for Symphonic Guitar Driven Classics – Mp3’s, Videos and More…
